Bekir Seren Kutadgu was born on January 5, 1986 in Istanbul. He completed his secondary education at Saint-Benoit French High School and his higher education at Istanbul University Faculty of Law and he received his lawyer’s license in 2010. Seren joined the Corporate/M&A department of Pekin & Pekin in 2009 as an associate. He took study leave to complete his Masters (LLM) in Queen Mary University of London in the area of Media and Telecommunications and Commercial and Corporate Law between 2011 and 2012. In his masters, he wrote a thesis on “Risks and Material Contractual Issues in Public Private Partnerships” through which he has gained expertise on material risk factors in PPP Projects and contract management, material contractual issues and proper design of PPP and concession agreements.
In 2012 Seren rejoined Pekin & Pekin as a senior associate and advised his international and national clients on energy, mining, oil, automotive, health, food, consumer products, e-commerce, transportation and aviation sectors until March 2017. During this term, Seren Kutadgu is specialized on Corporate and Commercial Law, Contracts, Real Estate Law and Labor Law, while he led various M&A projects including the ones in regulated sectors such as petroleum, mining, health, media and telecommunication; and had an active role in company restructurings, joint ventures and procurements. Seren also advises its clients on drafting and negotiating various commercial contracts, including but not limited to procurement contracts, warehousing agreements, logistics contracts, employment agreements, rental contracts, distribution agreements, service agreements which are required during the course of their business.
Other than his professional career, Seren Kutadgu was an actor in semi-professional theatre groups between 1998 and 2012, he has a vinyl collection and interested in Aikido and Far East Martial Arts.
